I think most of you know that I have the routine of waking up fairly early in the morning. When you wake up at a different time to anyone else in the house, of course it’s polite not to get up and turn all the lights on. And, when you move into a new house when we did some 18 months ago, you need to get used to the layout of the house, otherwise you’ll have things happening like: you think you’re going out of the bedroom door and you find your walking into the wardrobe. Well, that still happens, depending on how bleary eyed I am when I wake up in the morning. But somehow I mange to get from the bedroom, onto the landing, down the stairs and into the kitchen when I can safely turn the light on without disturbing everyone else.
But actually I was reflecting when I was putting together a few words this morning, that even though I can’t see a thing often when it’s still dark, it’s never really totally dark is it? There’s moonlight, there’s streetlights, there may be a tiny glimmer of light behind the curtain somewhere...
