Reepham Benefice

On the 28th June 2008 was the big day. However before the day was the planning. I decided due to many reasons that I wanted to get married in St Peter & St Paul's church at Salle. This is an absolutely stunning church and holds many happy memories for me and my family. We had a few meeting with the vicar (Christopher Morgan) to discuss our plans and to sort our special license that was required due to the fact neither me nor my husband lived in the parish. Due to changes it is not a requirement to get a special license from the archbishop anymore so it made ours extra special as it is most likely the last one for this church.
I found our meeting very helpful and Christopher made the stress of planning a wedding fade away and enjoyable. We were invited to a marriage preparation evening where we were served a lovely meal and got to meet other couples who were getting married as well. We met a lovely couple who had been married for many years and gave us their view on marriage. This was very enjoyable to listen too and was a pleasure to meet such a lovely couple. I enjoyed this evening and it made me calmer as I knew what to expect. Before long it was the rehearsal and everything went so smoothly and beside me getting a little stage fright I was confident that everything was going to go fine.
The big day arrived and as you would expect I had butterflies and was extremely anxious to get to the church. Once I arrived at the Church I was approached by the vicar and with a few words my nerves slowly faded away. Walking down the aisle was one experience I hope I will never forget, the feeling was indescribable and the church looked magnificent. The ceremony was flawless and Christopher did an outstanding job and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to conduct our marriage.
I can honestly say I could not have dreamed for a better service and loved every minute of the day. Getting married in this Church in particular was very special to me as its were my nanny and granddad are buried and was were my mum also got married to my dad. Its one of the most beautiful churches in this county and I feel truly blessed to have been married here.
I would like to thank everyone including Mike Fugal (organist), and an extra special thanks to Christopher for conducting what I can only say was the perfect marriage ceremony and making me and my husband feel so welcomed.
Many Thanks
